19 July, 2025
In a heartfelt tribute to the life and vision of Shri Manish Shankar Sharma, IPS, the MSS SUPPORT FOUNDATION, in collaboration with The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), will mark 19th July 2025 with two significant initiatives dedicated to his memory:
A majestic Bargad (Banyan) tree, symbolic of wisdom, strength, and rootedness, will be planted on the BSSS campus in the name of Shri Manish S. Sharma. This living monument will serve as a constant reminder of his towering legacy — a man who stood firm for ethical governance, sustainable development, and public service with purpose.
The Bargad tree reflects Manish ji’s nature — deeply grounded in values, yet ever-spreading in vision and impact. Just as the banyan offers shade, shelter, and inspiration to many, so did he — throughout his distinguished career in policing, international peacekeeping, and policymaking.
In a step towards empowering the youth and nurturing innovation, BSSS will also inaugurate the IPS Manish S. Sharma Memorial BSSS Incubation Cell on the same day.
This initiative reflects Manish ji’s belief in youth-driven change and his constant effort to translate ideas into action — be it through counterterrorism work, UN Peacekeeping, or grassroots engagement.
These twin events — the planting of a tree and the nurturing of young minds — beautifully align with the MSS SUPPORT FOUNDATION's mission:
"Seva aur Soch" — Service and Thought.
We warmly invite all well-wishers, friends, students, and citizens of Bhopal to join us as we take this small yet meaningful step in celebrating the life of a remarkable son of the soil.
Venue: The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS), Bhopal
Date: 19th July 2025
Together, let us carry forward his legacy — one tree, one idea, one act of public service at a time.
